Long time, no see, huh? Time has been moving along — spring keeps teasing, but winter hangs on here. But that’ll shortly change for me, at least for a week. I’m going to be heading back to Tucson for spring break. I’ll mostly be taking care of some business, catching up with family & friends and hopefully networking with old coworkers. Gotta start that job hunting for after JET… Anyways, I’ll be in town from late afternoon March 21st to very early morning March 29th. Well, guess the 2008 election season is well underway, with candidates announcing left and right (in both the figurative and political senses). Still time for more to get in the race, for McCain to do some more pandering flip-flops & for Hillary to make more excuses about her war vote, though. Mine matches pretty well with my current leanings. I’m kinda thinking an Obama/Richardson ticket would be interesting.

Well, my decision has been made to finish up on JET at the end of my 3rd year contract. They’ve recently changed the rules so that JETs can stay a 4th & 5th year, but I’m not going to take advantage of it. I’ve greatly enjoyed my time living and teaching here, but after 2.5 years I’m starting to get more than a bit burned out on things. Its time to move on and return to programming I think. So, since there’s only a little more than 6 months until I return to the US, I’m getting ready to do the job hunt thing again.
