I went wandering around the hill park here in Mukaihara after work today. The cherry blossoms still aren’t quite ready to bloom, but one of the local varieties of flowers has started. Apparently Mukaihara is famous (to some degree or another) for its KATAKURI (????:??) flowers (a.k.a. dogtooth violet). They’re kinda lavender and how the flowers droop towards the ground remind me of columbines. Didn’t try to smell them, it was awkward enough to take a picture of it.
